This phenomenal buffalo leather three-seat sofa is by Robert and Trix Haussmann for Knoll International (designed in 1988) and signed with Knoll decking fabric and Knoll Made in Italy label to underside. Featuring thick heavy buffalo leather with angular arms and aluminum base trim. This example is from circa 1988 to 1990.

This Hausmann design is a celebrated 80s Post-Modern design, sometimes found with mirrored panels to the side and rear, this particular example is completed with tan-brown buffalo leather all around, giving it a more casual laid-back vibe.

This incredibly high quality couch by Trix and Robert Haussman for Knoll International would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. CONDITION:
Very good vintage condition with light age, wear and patina. Overall is very attractive and presentable. The thick heavy buffalo leather has kept this sofa looking in beautiful condition. Only a few areas of noticeable wear including one small circular stain and other light abrasions. Some light sun fading evenly distributed throughout. Ready for immediate use.
