This gorgeous black leather executive management desk chair is by Otto Zapf for Knoll International, circa 1985. Constructed of heavily cushioned sections, with the top head section and arms removable. The chair base is height and tilt / recline adjustable and sits on top of a four star base with casters.
The label underneath indicates this particular example was made by Knoll International between 1981 and 1988, based on this particular label and Knoll's address during that period. This makes it an early year 'original' example of the design - ideal for collectors and interior designers with connoisseur clients.
The large size of this chair allows people of all sizes to enjoy its supreme comfort. Thick black leather over heavily padded cushions makes you feel like you are sitting on a cloud, ideal for those who have to work long hours and need a comfortable executive desk chair.
