Danish Modern Extendable Dining Table w Two Leaves, c 1970s, Refinished, Signed
This beautiful and charming Danish Modern dining table comes with two leaves and can extend from 45 inches to 85 inches. Produced by CFC Silkeborg in Denmark during the 1970s (signed with label underneath the table top), and just professionally refinished - making this classic design piece ready to be placed in your interior design project immediately.
This table features two distinct woods, a more exotic wood grain featured in the center of the top (and leaves) with what we believe to be teak and a different wood grain for the edges. The exotic wood grain might be a Walnut or perhaps a different variety of teak. Classic sculptural legs which come together and fan apart when one or two leaves are installed.
This expandable dining table would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Post-Modern, Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office.
