Don Shoemaker Exotic Wood Inlaid Tray for Señal, circa 1970, Large Size Version

Signed and exquisitely crafted rectangular shape tray designed by Don Shoemaker for Señal of Mexico. Taking advantage of the expertise provided by Mexican artisans, Shoemaker founded Señal which produced utilitarian objects, such as this stunning example.

The tray has rosewood casing with integrated handles and displays an inlay pattern made up of alternating species of exotic wood in various shades which creates a striking visual arrangement. This striking piece would make a great interior accent to any space. With its mix of natural materials this tray would also add texture and warmth to residential hospitality or corporate environments.

Measurements: 22" x 15.5" x 1.25".

Very good vintage condition. As expected, minor signs of use commensurate with its age are evident.
