This rare and important sculptural walnut and burl extension table by Vladimir Kagan for Kagan-Dreyfuss was designed and produced in the 1950s, this example for Alina Roisen in Park Avenue New York, during Kagan's partnership with Hugo Dreyfuss which ended in 1960 making signed items during this era some of the most sought-after pieces for art and design collectors and investors.

This Model VK-2011, described in Kagan's early catalogues as a 'Rectangular Extension Dining Table in Sculptured Walnut', is signed both on the underside of the dining table and the leaf (double-signed) and has been freshly glorious restored in an exquisite French Polish. This table is ideal for the collector who wants the best of the best or the interior designer with a hard-to-please client.

Ultra refinement and class in this piece which extends from a square card / game table seating four, to a larger rectangle dining or meeting table suitable for six. The extension leaf which secures to the table with high quality brass clamps underneath is also stamped with the Kagan-Dreyfuss stamp which reads Kagan-Dreyfuss New York, A Vladimir Kagan Design.
