'Kashima' Leather Sectional by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, c. 1976, Signed

This incredibly large set, which is also incredibly rare and sought-after, called the 'Kashima' series by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, France, was designed in 1976. This extremely large eight piece is is comprised of 2 smaller sets which we combined to create a huge living room set, upholstered in soft and sumptuous tan colored leather for four of the pieces and beige leather for the other four pieces.

This monumental living room sectional sofa set is comprised of: three lounge chairs and one ottoman, and four loveseat sofas which of three have an arm on one side and the other is armless. The loveseat sofas can be put together to form a long four seat sofa and can also wrap around a corner to form a corner sectional. Use all the pieces together and mix and match the colors, or use them separately, either in different areas in the same room or in different rooms throughout the home or office. This set is an early production year example, signed with 1970s Ligne Roset labels on the backs and early year Ligne Roset logo fabric on the undersides. Ideal set for a collector or art / design collector, or an interior designer looking for something rare and special for their most valuable client.

CONDITION:
Good vintage condition with light wear and patina along with some minor age marks. There are a few areas of minor craquelure to the leather top-coat which can be touched up prior to shipping. We decided to leave it alone since we have another set in a slightly different color which can be re-dyed to match, so instead of touching up these spots in advance we decided to allow the buyer to decide.
