Mario Bellini Model 685 'Tentazione' Club Lounge Chairs in Leather, Signed

A beautiful pair of Mario Bellini for Cassina 'Tentazione' club chairs in a gorgeous deep colored leather. Priced as a pair, these model 685 lounge chairs were distributed by Atelier International, who were the US distributors for Cassina in the 1970s, signed with labels underneath as can be seen in the images.

Comfortable and deep seated, these leather wrapped easy chairs are a classic Bellini design, sought after by collectors and interior designers alike, and are authentic early productions as evidenced by the A.I. labels attached underneath. The color is an interesting color and difficult to pinpoint. One of us thinks it is brown with some charcoal grey and the other one of us thinks it is a muted dark gray. The color also subtly changes depending on the brightness in the room. In a dark room setting this will appear to be closer to black.

Not to be confused with the Tentazione armchairs which are narrow and smaller, these club chair versions are sizable and extremely comfortable. Similar in style to the Le Bambole but with the appearance of draped fabric over subtle curves.

These Mario Bellini Model 685 Tentazione Lounge chairs by Cassina would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room.
