This groovy set of Model 'F303' lounge chairs (2) and side table (1) by Pierre Paulin for Artifort was designed in the 1970s and still an icon of 70s modern design to this day. This set was procured by Jim Walrod for The Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
Crafted with a hard polyurethane molded shell which is stronger than Fiberglass but similar in look and feel. Painted in a bold orange color, this set has plenty of vintage age and can be repainted and refinished upon request - and a new color can be selected or the existing color matched.
The design generally is found with upholstered seats however this set is without - therefore it can work well in an outdoor setting. There are no existing drainage holes in the seat so if you use it an uncovered outdoor setting where it rains frequently, you may want to consider adding a drainage hole in each chair.
When we acquired this set we thought to refinish it but it looks so good with all of its vintage age and patina - we decided to let the buyer decide whether to use it for a hip casual vibe or to have it refinished. Consider using this Model F303 / Series 300 pair of easy armchairs and table set by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room.
