The most coveted dining chairs by interior designers, this incredible set of ten (10) 'Tucroma' dining armchairs in beautiful black leather over chromed steel tubular frames by Guido Faleschini for i4Mariani was designed in the 1970s; this vintage set is from the earlier years of production (1970s-1980s) yet still in excellent vintage condition - the ideal combination for collectors, connoisseurs or interior designers looking for the absolute best for their most valuable clients.

i4 Mariani was a specialty Italian design division for The Pace Collection and Guido Faleschini was the star designer who created famous designs such as the Tucroma line and a line of bedroom furniture for Hermès.

The seats and backs retain the original supple black leather upholstery and are attached to graceful steel tubular frames, bridged together by matching black saddle-leather straps with hand-tied leather detail. Under the seats are the original i4 Mariani labels and branded decking fabric indicating these chairs are early year production examples.

Originally designed in the 1970s, the Tucroma line by Guido Faleschini for Mariani / Pace have been a design staple for interior designers and high-end luxury homeowners and to this day remain a classic go-to chair for top designers, collectors and architects alike. This set of dining arm chairs are excellent vintage examples of the design and offers an ideal solution for discriminating collector clients who want vintage examples but want them in excellent condition.

This is an interior design magazine cover worthy set of chairs and would look so amazing with a marble or travertine dining table, such as designs by Angelo Mangiarotti and Roche Bobois or lacquered goatskin dining tables by Karl Springer or Aldo Tura.

This sleek set of dining / arm / side chairs would inject some 1970s Italian modern into any interior and would complement various locations such as a Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Postmodern, neoclassical, or transitional dining room, living room, den, games room, office space, entryway or bedroom. It would also be perfect in a hospitality or corporate location, such as; a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office, or in a luxe clothing emporium. Consider pairing with items from Leon Rosen for Pace, Charles Hollis Jones, Vladimir Kagan or Pierre Paulin. Also can work great with a Willy Rizzo, Maison Jansen or Steve Chase dining, breakfast, cafe, or game table.

Given these chairs are versatile and light-weight, consider using as side chairs, cafe or breakfast table chairs, bedside chairs, fireside chairs, dressing or changing room chair, hallway chairs, entryway or mudroom chairs, nursing or reading chairs, conference room chairs, office or desk chairs, guest chairs, lobby lounge chairs or occasional chairs ideal in virtually any setting.
