Set of 8 Rosewood, Cane and Bouclé Dining Chairs by Dyrlund, c 1970, Signed
$0.00
This incredible set of 8 dining chairs feature gorgeous deep grained Rosewood with caned seat backs and newly reupholstered bouclé seats.
While these share many similarities with designs by Brazilian modernism designer Joaquim Tenreiro, this set of eight dining chairs were produced in circa 1970 by Dyrlund, Denmark. Chairs by Tenreiro are extremely expensive - so for those who need a better design within reach, this set of eight chairs are perfect to satisfy both your eyes and wallet.
Some of the many things that make these chairs so special include the large expansive caned seat backs which gently curves providing integrated lumbar support, the Kagan-esque sculptural rear legs which blends into the back around the mid-point, and the high-quality luxurious white bouclé seats which we newly reupholstered.
This set of circa 1970 Rosewood, cane and bouclé dining chairs by Dyrlund (Denmark) would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. Consider using as side chairs, dining, cafe or breakfast table chairs, bedside chairs, fireside chairs, dressing or changing room chairs, hallway chairs, entryway or mudroom chairs, nursing or reading chairs, conference room chairs, office or desk guest chairs, lobby lounge chairs or occasional chairs ideal in virtually any setting.
