Designed in the 1960s, the Omnibus has remained as one of the most prolific and unique sectional sofa designs spanning all decades since, celebrated by modern design and art collectors alike. The 'Standard Hotel' in Los Angeles designed their entire lobby lounge in pink fabric Omnibus sectional sofas from Kagan.
Each piece possesses a Vladimir Kagan Designs inventory tag with Kagan's signature and corresponding registration codes that match up to the original receipt which we have a photo of and can be provided upon purchase. The total cost in the receipt was $22,350 (which included one extra piece) plus the cost of fabric which was supplied by the client. It's rare to find Omnibus sofas with full signatures and authentication, plus we can provide provenance upon purchase as this sofa was made for a personal friend of Kagan's in NYC. This incredible Omnibus Complex sectional sofa is comprised of three sections. One corner sofa which also functions as a chaise, one long armless sofa section and one curved backless section that works well as an ottoman or an extension to the sectional ends. All sections have Kagan's signature thick clear lucite legs. You can configure the three pieces in multiple ways, you can use them together or place them separately in the same room or even different rooms if you'd like.
This Vladimir Kagan Omnibus sectional sofa would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandinavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room.
