Sculptural "S" chaise lounge by Walter Lamb for Brown Jordan. This collectible example of functional art is from the early years of Lamb's work with Brown Jordan, dating from the mid-1950s. This curvy, sexy chaise lounge chair is comprised of a tubular copper / bronze frame featuring the original highly attractive verdigris patinated finish and has been newly re-strung with woven sail cord, a braided cotton with a nylon core to prevent stretching. This new cording retains the integrity of the design while allowing the lounger to be fully functional and enjoyed for years to come.

Ours are beautiful early production examples, made of high quality materials and the kind of craftsmanship that no longer exists. Beware of new production examples, the ones that have been made in recent years by DWR are NOT of the same construction and do not carry the collectibility value or quality in materials and construction as the original early production versions. Many online listings are incorrect and falsely list a newer set as being original. We only deal with early examples and have a very high level of knowledge of Walter Lamb's designs.

We have a full selection of Walter Lamb tables and seating, a very large set we acquired was from Shirley Temple's estate, some of the pieces we still have were from there. Contact us if you are interested in ordering a set and saving on shipping.

Measurements: 33.5" H x 68" W x 30" D

Excellent condition. Seat newly restrung and the frame features the original attractive patina throughout.
