*SOLD* Jorge Zalszupin Jacaranda and Leather Lounge Chairs, Pair, Brazil circa 1960Automaton Vintage Furnishings
Recently imported from a private collector in Brazil, this pair of extremely rare lounge chairs by Jorge Zalszupin encapsulates the quality and innovation of his designs. Comprised of a sculptural Brazilian jacaranda wood frame with elegantly curved sides and featuring a back that incorporates a low slim shelf for displaying novels or decorative objects, which can be easily changed according to season or occasion. These armchairs retain the original supple cream / ivory leather with button tufting on the back and the comfortable armrest cushions.
These expertly crafted chairs would be a perfect addition to any design lovers interior concept. The neutral leather and exotic wood combination would complement various locations such as a living room, den, family room, games room, man (or woman!) cave, study, or bedroom. They would also be apt in a hospitality or corporate location such as, a boutique hotel, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Would pair wonderfully with low tables, credenzas or desks from Sergio Rodrigues, Percival Lafer and other Brazilian modern or Mid-Century Modern items.
