This gorgeous and very unique pair of swiveling club chairs have been newly reupholstered in a soft and nubby pink bouclé fabric, both chairs signed with Directional labels and produced in circa 1980s.

The design is quite rare - we have only seen one other example which also had Directional labels, but we have not been able to confirm whether this design was by Milo Baughman or Vladimir Kagan, who both designed for Directional and this design shares many qualities with. Another similar design to this is the Michael Wolk 'Miami' chair.

The very nubby and very soft pink bouclé is the best we have found, and we have spent a few years now trying many different makers of bouclé fabric. This particular maker has the nubbiest pile and softest hand-feel, we believe this is the most attractive looking and the best feeling bouclé fabric that is out there. And the pink color is absolutely perfect - while it is definitely a soft, perhaps 'Rose' pink and not a 'hot pink' by any means - it still has incredible vibrancy and tonality.

This pair of swivel chairs have beautiful sweeping curves - the shapes and silhouettes are what interior designers dream of, especially these days with Organic Modern and Post Modern styles so on-trend. While there are a number of other club lounge chairs on the market, such as the Corkscrew and Nautilus chairs, both by Vladimir Kagan for Directional - what this pair of club chairs have that others don't is the rarity. It's great to include some classic designs in your client's interior - but isn't it amazing to include something that they, you, and others haven't seen before? When you are shooting for an interior design magazine photo-cover, give it that eye-catching wow factor by including this rare and rarely seen design by 1980s Directional Furniture. This pair of Directional labelled swivel easy chairs would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room.
