Post-Modern Copper Floor Lamps by Jim Bindman for Rainbow Lamp, 1980s, Signed
This amazing 1980s Post-Modern pair of torchiere floor lamps by Jim Bindman for Rainbow Lamp Corp features beautiful verdigris copper tubes with copper shades and accents. Signed with Rainbow Lamp labels on both lamps and stamped on underside of base.
*NOTE... in the pics you will notice one lamp was leaning. Unfortunately our photographer missed this while taking photos however fortunately, we easily fixed this by tightening the bolt underneath the lamp.
Rainbow Lamp Corp was based in Glendale, California and produced lines of Post-Modern lighting. This particular model was featured on the cover of Pottery Barn’s Spring 1988 issue (see photos). A similar lamp from the same line also featured in the first scene of the movie 'Pretty Woman'.
This 1980s Post-Modern floor torchiere by Jim Bindman for Rainbow Lamp Corp would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office.
