Silas Seandel Brutalist Mixed Metal Coffee Table, Signed and Dated 1976
A rare signed and dated Silas Seandal coffee table comprised of a mix of raw solid metals including brass, bronze, steel and copper which have been applied by use of heat treatments and acids that Seandel has developed. All the colors on this piece are the results of these processes and there are no use of enamels, veneers or unnatural materials. No glass top is included so that you can select your choice of tint, thickness and bevel style. We can either order the glass for you or assist you with ordering it from a glassmaker near you.
Ideal for collectors, art and design investors, and interior designers looking for furniture that can also serve as collectible and functional art. This signed and dated cocktail table by Silas Seandel is rare - and examples that are signed by him are even more rare - this example is not only signed but dated 1976 as well, making this one of his earlier works of art.
This luminous, eye catching functional art piece by Silas Seandel would look striking in a living room, dining room, entryway, den, office or bedroom. It would also look great in a hospitality or corporate location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Would pair wonderfully with other Brutalist style pieces from Paul Evans, Adrian Pearsall and Tom Greene.
