Silas Seandel 'Ribbon' Brass Wall Mounted Abstract Sculpture, c 1970, Signed
This fascinating Silas Seandel 'Ribbon' wall-mounted sculpture is constructed from brass and formed into an organically abstract art piece in a large 63" wide size.
Unlike other 'Ribbon' variants, this example features a more rare abstract and almost brutalist style to the "exploded ends". This style is often found in his table designs - particularly the 'Terra' models, in which he embeds liquified brass into a concrete like form (see last photo for an example).
This abstract modern art piece by Silas Seandel would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical, Hollywood Regency or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. We carry a large collection of other Brutalist designs including ones from Paul Evans, Daniel Gluck, Adrian Pearsall, Tom Greene, Forms + Surfaces and more.
