Signed Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin Rosewood Sofa, Jack Lenor Larsen FabricAutomaton Vintage Furnishings
Exquisite signed (original label underneath sofa, see photos) 1960s Milo Baughman Rosewood Case Sofa for Thayer Coggin. Featuring a cased design with floating plinth base fabricated from rosewood that displays much movement in the beautiful dark Rosewood grain.
The sofa has been upholstered in Jack Lenore Larsen fabric which is a rich, textured silk velvet fabric that reflects playfully in the light and features a bold, geometric pattern. The seat cushions are in great condition and are supportive yet comfortable with hook connectors under the cushions (pictured) to prevent the seats from slipping - perfect for heavy usage or if you have kids.
The clean lines, minimal design and usage of high end luxurious upholstery makes this refined sofa appropriate for a number of locations, from classic and contemporary homes to elegant executive offices to hip startups. It would also be great in a hospitality, retail or corporate location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, director's office or in a luxe clothing emporium.
This sofa is in original condition, with slight signs of wear on the Rosewood case and base. Fabric is in excellent original condition, and is ready to use immediately. We can refinish the case if desired, however we opted not to since this sofa is in overall excellent vintage condition, and often collectors prefer signed/labelled originals to be left in original condition. For those who prefer a "new" look - inquire for a refinishing quote.
