Mosaic Tile Side Table by Vladimir Kagan for Kagan-Dreyfuss, circa 1955

This rare gem of a side table is by Vladimir Kagan, during his early years with Hugo Dreyfuss featuring his highly-sought-after-by-collectors mosaic tiles on the table top and sculpted walnut frame for the table's body and legs. Produced in small quantities during the 1950's during Kagan's time with Kagan-Dreyfuss. This design is documented in the book "The Complete Kagan" on page 88.
This side / occasional table is a rare collectors item, suitable for high-end interiors and discriminating collector clients. Due to the shape and position of the legs, this works excellent as a drinks or book table next to a bed or armchair as the top of the table cantilevers out.
This end table would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office.
