An incredible set of 1960s fiberglass lounge chairs by Ernst Moeckl, sourced from a boutique hotel on the Baltic Sea, these fantastic scoop armchairs feature red, orange and yellow striped fabric that is in very good condition and is ready to be used and enjoyed immediately.
The fabric cushions can be removed and washed, which we have done, so they are easy to keep clean making them perfect for a high traffic environment. Incredible silhouette, we love the side profile with the modern curved arms. The scoop shape of the fiberglass shell and striped fabric cushions are just incredible.
These fiberglass club chairs would work great in a 1960s-1970s Mid-Century Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a contemporary, Hollywood Regency or Postmodern room. Also consider mixing it up in a traditional, classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Being highly durable, this set of arm chairs would also be an Apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. These crescent shaped fiberglass scoop chairs would be excellent paired with designs from Verner Panton, Douglas Deeds and Wendell Castle.
