Florence Knoll Rosewood Credenza for Knoll International, 1960s, Signed
This iconic early production 'original' of the 'Florence Knoll Rosewood Credenza' by Florence Knoll for Knoll International was crafted between 1961 to 1969 based on the Knoll International label which has Knoll's 320 Park Ave NY address, found on the underside of the cabinet. Early year productions of this design are highly sought after by collectors, plus given that Rosewood is an endangered species, these rare Rosewood examples being the most desirable.
We beautifully restored this classic collector's piece with a French Polish, the most expensive and labor intensive finish available. The results are nothing short of spectacular. The vivid and exotic Rosewood grain is exemplified and the thick glass-like sheen helps protect the credenza against daily use for years and years to come. Incredibly gorgeous and perfect for the high-end interior designer looking for a statement piece that catches the eye while is still practical and a classic collector's piece.
The clean lines and minimal design of this Florence Knoll for Knoll International cabinet would be a great addition as part of a classic, contemporary or Mid-Century Modern living room, den, man (or woman!) cave, family room or office. It would also be an apt choice in a corporate, retail or hospitality location such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Would work great as a credenza, console cabinet, sofa table or sideboard. Also consider using as a long dry bar.
