Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Italia Pink Leather "Onda" Executive Office Chair

This eye-catching pink leather Onda executive armchair by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Italia is very rare in this executive desk chair form. Normally found as a lounge chair, this rare example has the Onda wave armchair design atop a five star base with casters. Signed underneath the cushion with a Saporiti Italia label and seat decking fabric.

A special aspect of this chair is that it was used for the set of "Glow", the hit TV Show that was based on the 1980s.

This circa 1970s example is in its original leather, fully restored with customized leather dye (see below for greater details on this). Large and spacious, this chair has such incredible design, three cushions, one for the head, back and seat and padded comfortable arms sit atop a curved five star chrome base with casters. The tubular styled curved 5 star base feels inspired by flower petals and asterisks. Clearly ahead of its time as this design feels perfectly at home with Postmodern but was originally designed and produced in the 1970s futuristic mod era.

We restored the original leather on this Italian executive desk chair by matching the leather color then creating a custom leather dye and blending the color throughout to restore it to like-new condition. No rips, no tears, no scratches or gouges, just beautiful and vibrant pink leather. The pink color falls somewhere near Magenta and Bubblegum. Incredibly gorgeous color.

An excellent example of fine 1970s design and manufacturing. Quality materials and craftsmanship you can't get from today's goods. Strong hefty base provides excellent stability. The ergonomic seat is also well padded providing excellent comfort. Such a wonderful piece for the collector or high-fashion client.
