'James Bond' Model S-231 Swivel Lounge Armchair by De Sede, Switzerland, 1960s

A rare and incredibly laid-back comfortable De Sede S 231 James Bond high-back swivel lounge armchair in an attractive lightly distressed tan leather with thick leather stitching similar to a baseball glove, designed and produced in the 1960s in Switzerland. Featuring a five-star base with tapered legs machined from solid stainless steel. Frame is very heavy and solid with no wobble. Swivels and reclines smoothly and properly.

This De Sede S231 'James Bond' club chair was hand-built by De Sede, Swizerland based craftsmen, in the late 1960s and in 1969 was used in the James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' giving it the 'James Bond Chair' name.

This easy chair would work great in a Scandinavian or Danish modern, Mid-Century Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a contemporary, Hollywood Regency, or post-modern room.
