This classic steamer trunk is a fine display of luxury by the oldest French trunk maker, Moynat. Recently restored by a specialized trunk restoration expert, this fine example of history is now ready to be placed into a luxurious setting.

Adorning the front of this rare item is an original brass plaque that reads "Moynat Fabricant, Paris - Téléphone 5. Place Du Theatre Français," indicating that this piece came from Moynat's very first store which opened in 1869.

A wonderful alternative to Louis Vuitton trunks, Moynat has been well regarding as a luxury french brand that is both high quality in construction and sought after by collectors.

The exterior of this travel chest is comprised of walnut, leather bindings and brass hardware details. Each side has two bail pulls and it sits on top of four casters - made for mobility and ease.
