MR 30/5 Lounge Chairs by Mies van der Rohe for Knoll International, Signed Pair

A rare no longer produced design, this incredible pair of early production double-signed cantilevered MR 30/5 lounge chairs by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Knoll International, both chairs possess their original Knoll International labels to the leather seats. An amazing find, as these are no longer in production and have not been for a long time therefore these are now highly sought after and rarely found as a matched pair in excellent all-original condition with light patina.

This set of leather sling chairs was well cared for so the tubular steel frames are sturdy and structurally sound. The black saddle leather belting is made from high quality leather as you would expect from Knoll International in the 1970s, which we believe was their height of manufacturing. As they say "they don't make things like they used to".

Knoll designs have been often copied so we highly suggest only purchasing signed examples. If you are looking at other listings, be sure to ask the dealer if theirs possess both labels so you know you are buying the real-thing. Also, the newer production versions with Knoll Studio stamps to the frame are less-desirable for collectors. Be sure to factor this in when making your decision, earlier production examples such as these are typically what collectors seek.
