This pair of incredible pink velvet 'Aspen' sofas by Jean-Marie Massaud were designed in 2005 for Cassina and made in Italy. Two large 102 inch long sofas when placed together form a continuous seating system that becomes an incredibly large 204 inches wide. The removable soft pink velvet cover provides unpretentious elegance over the sofas sleek steel legs. The curve of the backrest is reminiscent of the ridgeline of a mountain and expresses the contemporary sculptural personality of this design. The tapered back creates the effect of being suspended in air.

This Aspen sectional sofa by Jean Marie Massaud for Cassina would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office.
