Featuring their original vintage leather upholstery, which has now faded and patinated into an artistic mixture of black, brown and tan, over five-star aluminum bases with casters. Most chairs are signed with Herman Miller labels and date stamped with a 1987 production date, the same great year that brought us Good Morning Vietnam, Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride, Spaceballs, Roxanne and 3 Men and a Baby. The Charles Eames Soft-Pad Management task chairs are made with high quality materials and construction that you would expect from Herman Miller, especially at the height of their manufacturing in the 1980s.

Taken from Herman Miller's website: Aluminum Group chairs began as a Challenge among legendary designers. Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard were designing the Columbus, Indiana, home of J. Irwin Miller, founder of Cummins Engines. They wanted a high-quality seating product for outdoor use and asked Charles and Ray Eames to develop one. The Eameses accepted.

CONDITION:
Good vintage condition with moderate patina throughout leather (see photos). Arms and bases have minor wear including scratches and scuffs. Overall very attractive set for those who love patina, ready for immediate use.
