Peruvian Tooled Leather Bench or Coffee Table with South American Landscape

Beautifully hand tooled Peruvian bench or coffee table (you can use for either) depicting a South American pastoral scene. Fabricated from a walnut frame with turned wood legs, the top is wrapped in leather and illustrated with embossed figures on a South American mountainous landscape. Each person and object is carved with exquisite precision, featuring Provincial characters, alpaca's, houses and native plants including cacti. The sides of the table are encased in leather with incised flourishes and secured with large bronze nailheads.

This finely detailed coffee table would be ideal for adding some rustic charm in to a living room, den or study. It would also be Apt in a hospitality or corporate location, such as a work conference room, creative studio, executive office, boutique hotel lobby, bar or members club.

Very good vintage condition. Some signs of discoloration and staining. Leather is in excellent condition with no holes or tears.
