Raymond Loewy for Mengel Cerused Oak Dresser, circa 1955, Restored, Signed

A desirable, rare and restored 6-drawer dresser by Raymond Loewy for Mengel, circa 1955, comprised of rift-sawn cerused oak with white lacquered drawer fronts and brass pulls. Signed in one drawer. This Mid-Century Modern collectors piece is ready for immediate use.

*Note, the color of the cerused oak slightly varies in the photos due to how it reflects light. We used studio photography lights which made the top and sides of the dresser slightly warmer or cooler depending on how the light hit the surface. In person, the color is consistent throughout despite how the photos show.

Known by many as "The father of Industrial Design," Raymond Loewy has made immeasurable contributions to the American marketplace, from cigarette packs to spacecraft’s. CONDITION:
This Raymond Loewy for Mengel collector's piece is in excellent restored condition, we just completed full refinishing, ready for immediate use. As expected, there are still signs of age including light patina to drawer handles and other aged elements to cabinet underneath the refinish as to be expected with an item of this age.
