Taken from Herman Miller's website: Aluminum Group chairs began as a Challenge among legendary designers. Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard were designing the Columbus, Indiana, home of J. Irwin Miller, founder of Cummins Engines. They wanted a high-quality seating product for outdoor use and asked Charles and Ray Eames to develop one. The Eameses accepted.

CONDITION:
Overall good vintage condition with light patina and wear including minor scratches on arms and minor wear to leather. Arms have flaking to the protective finish coating which is common on this model. The arms can be polished to remove this if desired.
