Tommi Parzinger for Parzinger Originals Mahogany Dining Table, c. 1960, Signed

An incredible signed Parzinger Originals mahogany and ebony inlay dining table designed by Tommi Parzinger and crafted in the early 1960s, signed underneath "Parzinger Originals".

This gorgeous Parzinger Originals dining table is expandable with two 20" leaves giving the table a large 124.5" total width allowing to seat 8 to 12 people. Without the leaves comfortably seat 6 to 8 people. Accented by a racetrack pattern ebony inlay, squared edge and chamfered corners with matching ebony inlay and Parzinger's signature saber legs.

This fine collectors piece was already in excellent well-cared for original condition. However since the lacquer coat has aged approximately 60 years, we restored the finish by lightly removing the original lacquer coat and hand-applying a new French Polish lacquer. French Polish is the most laborious and expensive finish because it requires many repetitive coats and each one hand polished to a fine glass-like finish, and while it is very expensive, it is worth it for rare and valuable pieces like this Tommi Parzinger table. The results are nothing short of spectacular - such a smooth, clear and deep finish - it looks almost like a sheet of glass (much more incredible in-person than you can see (or touch / feel) in the photos). And besides how incredible it looks - it will also protect your investment for the decades ahead. This Parzinger Originals is an ideal example for the most discriminating interior designer client or collector.

This mahogany and ebony inlay dining table by Tommi Parzinger for Parzinger Originals would work great in an Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, Post-Modern or Mid-Century Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern, Danish Modern or Zen / Minimalist room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, or Classical room with a splash of juxtaposition.
